Tina Alberino (she/her) is a copyeditor (certified by University of California) and soon-to-be book coach. She is also an advocate for workers’ rights and LGBTQIA+ equality. She currently works as the Executive Editor at The Dread Machine under her fiction-focused pen name, Alin Walker.
Tina authored the blog This Ugly Beauty Business, where she wrote extensively about employment, tax, and labor law issues that impact professional beauty workers. She also wrote and published The Beauty Industry Survival Guide and Salon Ownership and Management: A Definitive Guide to the Professional Beauty Business.

Monica Louzon (she/her) is an editor, translator, and writer who currently works as the Acquiring Editor at The Dread Machine. Her prior editing experience includes serving as Lead Editor and project manager for the anthology Catalysts, Explorers & Secret Keepers: Women of Science Fiction, as well as Managing Editor for the open access, peer-reviewed academic MOSF Journal of Science Fiction.
Monica’s translation of the fantasy story “Imilla” by Vania T. Curtidor appeared in the bilingual Constelación Magazine’s inaugural issue, and she regularly performs ad hoc translations of stories for both Spanish- and English-speaking authors.
